Reno, NEV. (June 24, 2002) - Twelve Horses North America (THNA), a provider of cost-effective, easy-to-use, high impact email marketing solutions, announced today the acquisition of Aztech Cyberspace Inc, a Nevada-based Internet professional services and hosting/colocation company.
As a result of the merger, Aztech Cyberspace augments a new 'professional services' arm of Twelve Horses North America increasing the company's depth in strategic, creative and technical services. The professional services group will support customers using THNA products such as MessageMakerTM a critical, effective means of electronic customer and business communications utilized for lead generation, acquisition, customer retention and customer service.
THNA serves more than 40 global customers ranging from Fortune 50 companies to small/medium enterprises. Founded in 1994, Aztech Cyberspace (Aztech) brings a wealth of marketing and business automation, Web-based application development and product engineering experience to THNA.
David LaPlante, managing partner of Aztech Cyberspace, will serve as president and chief executive officer of Twelve Horses North America. He brings 11 years of marketing automation, business process management and CRM/application development experience to the position. Prior to merging with THNA, LaPlante led the Aztech team as one of Twelve Horses' most productive channel partners.

Twelve Horses North America's core product offering is MessageMakerTM a next-generation, XML-based messaging platform for marketing and business automation. MessageMakerTM includes a suite of products designed to address the needs of low-cost personal communication from vendors, while providing useful and non-invasive information to customers. And the additional engineering support will enable Twelve Horses North America to expedite product enhancements to the current MessageMakerTM platform as well as deploying several new products in Q3/Q4 2002.
The combined entity is comprised of 33 employees with expectations of growth to 40 employees in the coming months. THNA will relocate its corporate headquarters from Salt Lake City to the Reno Tahoe Tech Center, located in the burgeoning high-tech South Meadows of Reno, NV. Product engineering and direct product support, training and practices will remain in Salt Lake City with additional resources in Reno. Other satellite offices are based in Las Vegas, New York and Chicago. A San Francisco office is expected to open within 30 days.
